¿Cuál polarización?

Los medios de comunicación afectos al régimen vienen insistiendo de tiempo atrás en que el país afronta una fuerte “polarización política”, expresada en una fractura de la sociedad en dos polos irreconciliables. Esa nomenclatura impide comprender lo que realmente está pasando en Colombia. Aunque la profesora Sara Tufano ubica la popularidad de ese acto de habla en el 2018, su nacimiento hay que ubicarlo en el 2002, cuando llegó a la Casa de Nariño (¿o de Nari?) el ciudadano Álvaro Uribe Vélez. Es posible que el uso del término  haya encontrado asidero en hechos políticos como el Proceso de Paz y el Plebiscito por la Paz del 2 de octubre de 2016 y que sus consecuencias se hayan mantenido hasta el día de hoy. 

Empecemos entonces por decir que no hay la tal polarización política, y que más bien el país viene evidenciando la radicalización de la derecha, expresada en la edificación de lo que en su momento la Corte Constitucional llamó un Estado de Cosas Inconstitucional (ECI). Este endurecimiento del <<ideario uribista>> se inició en 2002, cuando llegó a la presidencia de la República un ‘mesías’ neoliberal, un vulgar arriero que haría todo para que el país entrara en una era de insostenibilidad ambiental y ecológica, que se mantiene hasta el momento. En materia ambiental, Uribe debilitó las instituciones ambientales.

Ese <<ideario uribista>> no constituye una doctrina política o la expresión de un discurso propio de la filosofía política criolla. No. Por el contrario, se asume como la expresión clara de la crisis de la Política, del diálogo democrático y del respeto a las diferencias. Todo lo anterior en medio de una crisis estructural de los partidos políticos tradicionales, colectividades que no pudieron superar las dificultades operativas que originó el Frente Nacional.

A la crisis de los partidos políticos se suma, por supuesto,  la desventura de una ciudadanía apática, irresponsable y acrítica. Y no se puede descontar la ignorancia de cientos de millones de colombianos que aún siguen creyendo en lo que dicen medios oficialistas como RCN, Caracol, CM& y programas radiales como la FM y La W.

Quienes se instalan en esa apuesta política lo hacen por miedo, conveniencia o por convicción; eso sí, los que así piensan y actúan creen en la posibilidad de profundizar en el tipo de democracia que ellos consideran que se merece Colombia: una de carácter iliberal, esto es, aquella en la que se golpea fuertemente la independencia de los poderes públicos con el consecuente debilitamiento del Estado de Derecho.

Les cabe razón a los profesores Francisco Gutiérrez y Sara Tufano cuando señalan que no existe tal <<polarización política>>. Estamos es ante la consolidación de un relato mendaz con el que el Régimen busca minimizar los efectos negativos que dejó en la institucionalidad democrática el paso del hoy Reo 1087985 por la Casa de Nariño, de la mano de la Gran Prensa nacional y en particular los medios y periodistas afectos a Uribe, a la Derecha y la ultraderecha.

La mayor expresión de ese debilitamiento se dio cuando una parte del país y de la institucionalidad estatal empezó a creer en el Estado de Opinión, como estadio superior del Estado de Derecho. Así entonces, la tal <<polarización política>>  se instala conceptualmente en el Estado de Opinión, pero su operación y su praxis dependen políticamente del ejercicio informativo y editorial de los grandes medios de comunicación, empresas que cada vez más se consolidan como actores políticos. Y en el cumplimiento de ese rol, que no es nuevo, el periodismo, como oficio, entró en una profunda crisis de credibilidad que está arrastrando a los periodistas vedettes o a los  incorporados al Régimen político colombiano, hacia el rechazo casi unánime de una sociedad que al abrir los ojos está empezando a entender, por ejemplo, que el gran problema del país está en los altísimos grados de corrupción (pública y privada) y en ese ethos mafioso y criminal que se entronizó a partir de 2002.

Mientras más se endurecen las posturas de los agentes económicos y operadores políticos que confluyen enese «ideario uribista», más se pone en evidencia el maridaje entre las empresas mediáticas y sus periodistas vedettes, y quiénes agitan las misma banderas del Centro Democrático: hablo de los partidos Liberal, Conservador, de la U, Cambio Radical y Mira, entre otros. Ya es hora entonces de que dejemos de hacerle el juego discursivo a la Gran Prensa colombiana y posicionemos la idea aquella que de mejor manera explica lo que sucede en el país: la radicalización de la Derecha, con la que se busca regresar al país a los aciagos tiempos de la Carta Política de 1886 y a los azarosos ambientes vividos en los gobiernos de mano dura de Turbay Ayala (1978-1982) y Uribe Vélez (2002-2010; y 2018-2022).

Termino con lo expresado por Sara Tufano, en reciente columna: “Considero que, frente a la amenaza autoritaria más peligrosa de nuestra historia reciente y frente a la necesidad de un bloque histórico, debemos abandonar esa retórica. No pueden seguir considerando extremista a quien lucha por preservar el acuerdo de paz y la democracia. Si lo que les preocupa a algunos son las características personales de algunos candidatos, sería más honesto de parte de ellos ponerlo en esos términos en vez de seguir recurriendo a la falacia de la polarización”.
