ArmaTuVaca tiene un propósito similar al de Vaki, recolectar dinero para una causa social o un emprendimiento creativo, pero parte de una concepción independiente, pues surgió en 2015 como resultado de una necesidad concreta de sus fundadores: en su condición de aficionados al fútbol, siempre tenían problemas al momento de recolectar la plata para los partidos y torneos que jugaban. Un año después se lanzó al mercado armatuvaca.com, el primer producto de Evolution Ideas, una empresa ciento por ciento colombiana, creada con la idea de revolucionar el sistema financiero en el país. Desde ese momento, no ha parado de crecer.
solo en los últimos 4 años, Evolution Ideas ha ampliado las funcionalidades y el alcance de ArmaTuVaca: ahora permite la creación de vacas no sólo para fines personales, sino también para negocios y crowdfunding social, y ha lanzado nuevos productos como Wenjoy.com.co para el recaudo de dinero en línea.
Por lo anterior quisimos entrevistar a los creadores de Armatuvaca.com, de la que somos usuarios mediante «Una vaca para El Unicornio«.
¿Quiénes conforman el equipo de trabajo de la plataforma de ustedes?
El fundador y director general de Evolution Ideas es Pedro Gaviria, emprendedor bogotano con estudios en administración de empresas y apasionado por el fintech y el fútbol. A Pedro lo acompañan en el equipo directivo, Luis Guillermo Arango como director de ventas, Lucas Velásquez como director de operaciones, Iván Rodríguez como director de tecnología y David Moreno como director creativo. Todos ellos bogotanos pero con estudios en diferentes disciplinas, y comparten el deseo de generar una disrupción financiera dentro y fuera de Colombia.
¿Qué diferencia tiene Armatuvaca con otras plataformas de crowdfunding?
ArmaTuVaca puede usarse para mucho más que como plataforma de crowdfunding social. Esta es la principal diferencia con otras plataformas, pues los usuarios de ArmaTuVaca, además de crear vacas para proyectos sociales, pueden generar links de cobro, pagarle a otras personas, crear alcancías para sus proyectos personales y en general todo lo que involucre administrar su dinero.
¿Cómo es el modelo de negocio de ustedes? ¿Cómo lo hacen rentable?
En ArmaTuVaca.com y todos los productos que ofrece Evolution Ideas se genera un cobro de servicio equivalente a un porcentaje del monto recibido o transado por el usuario. Sin embargo existen diferentes tarifas y modelos de cobro, incluso cabe resaltar que ArmaTuVaca cuenta con un plan de uso gratuito, que permite a los usuarios acceder a gran parte de los servicios sin cobrarles absolutamente nada.
¿Hasta el momento cómo ha sido la acogida? ¿Se puede decir cuántas personas o empresas han recurrido a ustedes hasta ahora?
ArmaTuVaca ha tenido un incremento constante desde que se lanzó. En los últimos cuatro años se han creado más de 12 mil vacas, que en total han recibido más de 92 mil pagos. Lo que más nos alegra y nos enorgullece es nuestra línea de crowdfunding social (Vacanes), lanzada a principios de este año, donde ya se han creado más de 240 iniciativas y se han recibido más de 5 mil donaciones.
¿Qué historia pueden resaltar de alguna de las vacas que estén en este momento en su plataforma?
En este año en concreto, resaltamos todas las vacas que se generaron a raíz de la crisis producida por la pandemia. Más recientemente, las donaciones recibidas a través de la plataforma para ayudar a los damnificados por el huracán Iota en el archipiélago de San Andrés.
¿A dónde quieren llegar ustedes con Arma tu vaca?
Nuestro propósito es que ArmaTuVaca se convierta en la herramienta perfecta para las personas que quieran manejar sus finanzas de manera diferente. Que todo el que quiera recibir pagos, enviar dinero, crear una alcancía, pedir ayuda para su proyecto social o donar a otras causas lo haga desde Armatuvaca.com.
¿Es posible que personas de otros países recurran a su plataforma?
Sí, es posible realizar donaciones a las vacas de ArmaTuVaca desde cualquier lugar del mundo, y retirar el dinero en en cuentas bancarias Colombianas o en puntos de efectivo dentro del país. Sin embargo, estamos trabajando para ofrecer la posibilidad de retirar el dinero en otros países.
¿La diferencia sustancial con Vaki cuál es?
Somos vacas similares pero de diferentes potreros.
