El escritor Santiago Gamboa afirma en El Espectador que «¡el Covid-19 ha sido el Baloto de los amigos del Gobierno! Todo gracias a que el poder en Colombia consiste en gobernar para la banca, las empresas grandes y el estamento rico de la sociedad».
Ello obedece, según Gamboa, a que dichos emporios pagan las campañas presidenciales: “esto, en el sistema capitalista, quiere decir que los gobernantes son empleados de los empresarios y banqueros. No solo el Gobierno, también la mayoría de congresistas de la república; por eso legislan de acuerdo con los intereses de sus patrocinadores”.
En el estado actual de la pandemia los recursos para salvar a la población se deslizaron sin mayor problema a los bolsillos de esas grandes empresas y esos bancos, que ya eran ricos.
“El Gobierno y los senadores trabajan para los empresarios grandes, no para los pequeños. Por eso, cuando surge un candidato que está contra este sistema de empresarios sobornadores lo matan, como a Álvaro Gómez (el régimen), o lo inmovilizan con embargos y acusaciones, como a Gustavo Petro. Porque también la justicia entra en el paquete combo de la inversión. Un fiscal que trabaja para el Grupo Aval, como fue Nesticor Humberto, o uno que es empleado del Gobierno, como Barbosa”.
Además, señala su indignación al manifestar: «¡Qué impunidad, qué frustración! ¡Acabar deteniendo a los policías que descubrieron la ñeñepolítica! Como si en el caso Watergate, en lugar de destituir a Nixon, la justicia hubiera metido a la cárcel a Bob Woodward y Carl Bernstein».
Y concluye afirmando que algunos hechos en Colombia parecen salidos de un capítulo de la novela Los Miserables de Victor Hugo: “Jean Valjean no ha muerto, vive en Colombia y aún lo persiguen”.
