Petro relató que hace poco más de un mes viajó a Cuba para someterse a exámenes médicos. “Allí, el 2 de marzo, se me diagnosticó una enfermedad, cáncer temprano en la juntura del esófago con el estómago. Regresé al país para obtener una segunda opinión médica y después de análisis de laboratorio y endoscopias se determinó la existencia de una lesión en el mismo lugar”.
El fundador de Colombia Humana no descarta un tratamiento de quimio y radioterapia. Este anuncio provocó diversas manifestaciones de solidaridad y apoyo desde distintas orillas políticas.
