Murió la Revista Semana

En toda democracia los medios de comunicación juegan un papel fundamental, bien sea para consolidarla como una forma de gobierno o para apuntalarla como una lejana aspiración civilizatoria. Para el caso colombiano, vivir en democracia sigue siendo un sueño lejano, en virtud de sus restricciones y de su devenir formal, atado por supuesto a las condiciones corporativas en las que viene operando el Estado y la atomización de sectores de la sociedad civil, obligados a defenderla y a exigir su consolidación.

El periodismo y los periodistas deberían en condiciones normales operar como defensores de la democracia o ser sus <<perros guardianes>>. Cuando no se logra que los periodistas defiendan la democracia en su sentido más liberal, periodistas y empresas mediáticas se convierten en agentes serviles o en amanuenses de los responsables de que esa democracia sea apenas un remedo, y que esté más cercana a un régimen de mano dura.

Los recientes cambios en la dirección de la revista Semana están dirigidos por la decisión política y editorial del señor Gilinski.

Para el caso de Colombia, infortunadamente sus periodistas y las empresas mediáticas en un alto porcentaje poco han fungido como <<perros guardianes>> de la democracia. Por el contrario, vienen cumpliendo la ingrata e innoble tarea de defender a dentelladas los intereses de una élite empresarial y política dedicada a impedir  su profundización.

Medios escritos como El Tiempo y de un tiempo para acá la revista Semana, fungen como defensores rabiosos y estafetas del oprobioso régimen de poder que orientan Uribe-Duque. A esta innoble función se unen medios radiales como la W y la FM; y medios televisivos, como los noticieros privados RCN, Caracol y CM&.

Al revisar las circunstancias en las que operan la democracia y el periodismo en Colombia, se puede colegir que atraviesan por una profunda crisis de credibilidad y legitimidad. Lo que viene sucediendo con la revista Semana, cuyo manejo editorial y económico está en manos del empresario Gabriel Gilinski, es una muestra innegable de la simbiosis entre empresarios y periodismo, asociación que expone públicamente la crisis de la democracia y del oficio más bello del mundo, según García Márquez.

Los recientes cambios en la dirección de Semana están dirigidos y se explican por la decisión política y editorial del señor Gilinski de convertir a la hasta ayer prestigiosa publicación hebdomadaria, en un órgano defensor del “uribismo”.

Las renuncias en desbandada de grandes periodistas como Ricardo Calderón,  María Jimena Duzán, Alejandro Santos, Vladdo, Federico Gómez, Johanna Álvarez y José Monsalve expresan con indiscutible claridad que la llegada de Vicky Dávila y de Salud Hernández como columnistas fue la continuación del giro a la (ultra)derecha de la revista, y por esa vía la construcción de un ambiente laboral y periodístico hostil para aquellos periodistas acostumbrados en Semana a pulsar y a molestar a los poderosos. La accidentada salida del columnista Daniel Coronell fue el primer aviso del giro ideológico y político que sufriría.

Bajo la dirección editorial de Vicky Dávila, Semana deja de ser un medio periodístico, para convertirse en una oficina de divulgación de los intereses políticos y empresariales del mecenas que la sostiene. El mismo que le recordaba a Daniel Coronell que era “uribista y trumpista”: Gabriel Gilinski.

El pasado 10 de noviembre el país asistió a la muerte de la revista Semana y al nacimiento de una empresa de mensajería política. En su tumba reposan las denuncias hechas por periodistas y columnistas que, como <<perros guardianes>> de la democracia, jamás cohonestaron con la corrupción en instituciones estatales. Al morir Semana, la democracia colombiana sufre un golpe importante.

De cara a las elecciones de 2022, esta nueva empresa de mensajería será el bastión (des)informativo que apoyará el proyecto político del sub judice ciudadano, Álvaro Uribe Vélez. Se trata del mismo proyecto que busca debilitar aún más la ya disminuida democracia colombiana. Y para ello, no se necesitan periodistas y columnistas críticos. La Semana de Vicky Dávila es, desde ya, el apéndice del proyecto político del más grande antiliberal de Colombia: el expresidiario 1087985.

Yo hice una campaña Anti noticiero RCN y logramos el objetivo, el rating es casi nulo, ahora voy a hacerlo con la revista Semana, nada más con su directora de pacotilla y esa Salud Hernández que debería llamarse Insalud Hernández, mujer con un pensamiento orientado totalmente a defender a el CD y a este presidente (sub) inepto y títere, no van a informar al país, sino a desinformar y a sacar artículos orientados totalmente a la defensa de la ultra derecha combiana y su corrupción. No más revista Semana. Hoy le hago un sepelio sin honores a esta revista
