Debido a que en su cuenta de Twitter asumió posturas críticas contra Iván Duque y Álvaro Uribe, al medallista olímpico Jorge Iván Agudelo, quien ha ganado importantes preseas y ha hecho brillar el nombre de Colombia en competencias internacionales, por presiones del gobierno le fue retirado el apoyo que le brindaban algunas empresas privadas.
En los últimos días, Agudelo se ha mostrado bastante indignado por las dos masacres contra jóvenes que consternaron al país, la de los cinco adolescentes en Cali y la de los ocho jóvenes en Samaniego (Nariño).
Uno de los trinos dice: “Nos siguen masacrando, ¿hasta cuándo esta indiferencia por parte de este narcogobierno? Nos quieren sumergir y ahogarnos en sangre. Todas las vidas valen”.
Sobre Álvaro Uribe también se refirió: “Renunció el frentero, semejante rata escabulléndose y buscando salidas con triquiñuelas para quitarle competencia a la Corte Suprema de Justicia, buscando que su proceso pase a la Fiscalía, donde está su amigo el turista Barbosa”.
“Les duele mucho los comentarios que hago sobre su mesías y su partido y que ahora todos veamos los nefastos resultados de seguir en guerra y no apostarle a la paz. Recibo con aprobación esos bloqueos, besos. Sigan en caravanas de 5, ridículos”.
En su momento escribió sobre el patrocinio que le fue retirado: “Me han cancelado patrocinios por mi postura política, por marchar, por las críticas y demás. No me importa, el dinero para costear mis campeonatos lo consigo como sea, porque son mis sueños, es mi pasión. Antes de ser deportista, soy humano, soy colombiano”.
“Ahora resulta que por ser deportista y representar a Colombia tengo que quedarme callado y acomodarme al partido de gobierno como muchos deportistas, artistas y gente de la farándula lo ha hecho por miedo a represalias, pues lo siento mucho acomodados, perdón si les incomoda. No faltaba más”.
Y por último trinó sobre el nuevo patrocinador que ahora apoya su actividad deportiva: “Colombia, desde hoy tenemos patrocinador oficial 👉🏽 Club Empresarial Latino S.A. @FabianOjedaEmpr hoy vuelvo a empezar y nuevamente le sonrío a mis sueños”.
